The Importance of Urea Level Sensor

The importance of urea level sensor is to control the emission concentration of pollutants in diesel engine exhaust. With SCR technology, it can oxidize with nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas. Because it uses ammonia as a reducing agent in the catalyst system to reduce the content of NOX, among which diesel exhaust fluid is the reducing agent, because it chemically reacts with nitrogen oxides to convert pollutants into ammonia, thereby improving exhaust emission standards.

Urea level sensors are commonly used for urea level detection in diesel engines. Secondly, the SCR system matched with it can improve the combustion rate of diesel. This is because heavy-duty diesel truck engines produced in recent years must meet the latest EPA emission standards, which currently aim to minimize particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOx). In addition, if the urea level sensor is combined with the SCR system, nitrogen oxide emissions can be reduced by 90%, while hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions can be reduced by 50-90%, and PM emissions can be reduced by 30-50%. The SCR system may also be combined with a diesel particulate filter to achieve greater emission reduction of PM. In the commercial trucking industry, some SCR-equipped truck operators reported fuel economy growth rates of 3-5%.

Urea level sensor with SCR system is very important, but also to reduce diesel engine exhaust emissions solutions.
